Here’s the quickie Mt. Wilson Trail report as of April 7th:
** Warning ** A lot of poison oak along the trail – especially along the Gabrielino & Upper Winter Creek Trail. Moderate buggy in the upper elevations.
* Water Report * The Hooker water fountain is on. (N 34° 13.506 W -118° 3.424) (Before the bridge that leads to the Hooker, there is a small cabin on the west side. The water fountain is located on the north side of the cabin. )
All the creeks have great flow. I carried only a quart and filtered en route.
* Critters* No signs of bears. No ticks. No snakes. Squirrels & more squirrels.
The trail is in great shape. Enjoy.
