Peak Mt Wilson
Group N/A
Trailhead Chantry Flats

We started Mt. Wilson with a very excited mindset. When we came across the waterfall we were mesmerized by the beauty of the fall. We came across a group of hiking ladies that had hiked Mt. Wilson twice before and told us that it was an intense hike. The weather was great, our energy was high, and we were anxious to get to the peak. Unfortunately, I wore hiking shoes that were way too tight for my feet, I didn’t have enough water or food, and I wasn’t prepared for such a long hike. This was a wide awakening and allowed me to understand how to prepare for the next hike. After a long summit to the peak, we were excited to reach the top. We ate lunch and headed back down with another group that we met at the top. On our hike down, I believe that we took the wrong trail down and got took a longer way down. A few people we passed said they either saw a bear and a bobcat. We were exhausted by the remaining couple of miles but it was a great learning experience.
