Arrived at 6:30 to a full parking lot. It was a beautiful morning and we encountered many hikers along the trail. Stopped for a break at the saddle before heading on towards the summit. Less crowds as we moved passed the saddle. As we neared the upper switchbacks, the glorious clouds floated so beautifully. The blanket of clouds was present at the summit. Found an odd piece of cloth with Cucamonga written on it, so like many others I took a picture with it. We returned to a bustling saddle. Turns out other hikers were participating in Fool’s Traverse seeking to bag 11 peaks. I was pleased bagging one peak, can’t fathom bagging 11! Big congrats to my gal pals Meredith Crane and Dolores Grant for summiting 8 peaks that day. Hiked back Icehouse Canyon with our friend John Michael Patero. Our hike back was filled with lush greenery and rushing streams. Happy to report I only bagged one peak that day. Gorgeous day! Great hike!
