Trailhead Bear Canyon Trail

We started at the Bear Canyon Trailhead at the Mt Baldy visitor center. We had no idea what we were in for! 6000 ft climb in 6.4 miles to the top of Baldy! Wow, that was a challenge, especially because we were fully packed to stay overnight. Beautiful trail with beautiful views though! It took us about 7 hours to reach the peak. It was cold and windy at the top. We took and break and ate dinner at the top. No one else there, just us! We then hiked down devils backbone to the Baldy Notch where we stayed the night. It was very chilly and windy all night. Thankfully the next morning was beautiful! We packed up early and we headed to the ski lodge for some nice hot coffee and we were able to fill up our water bottles. We then took the Three Tees Trail. We did not know what we were in for! Another challenging day with lots of climbing! We really enjoyed the trail. We ran into quite a few people as it was Saturday on Memorial weekend. We made our way to the Icehouse Saddle where it was very crowded and proceeded down the Ice house Canyon Trail. Our car was parked at the visitor center so we had to hike 1.5 miles on Baldy Rd, that was no fun! A total of 20 miles! We were tired but had an amazing time!
