We could not have asked for a better day and better conditions! The weather was perfect, blue sky, crisp and cool. So many water crossings made for a fun and interesting day and hiking along the sound of water was awesome. But the wonderfully unexpected part was that we started seeing unmelted snow at about 3400′. Then, consistently above 4000′, we were hiking in snow! Gorgeous! This is such a beautiful hike. The top is so anti-climactic with the equipment, people’s ability to drive to the summit, and limited views. But the trails themselves are incredibly beautiful.
