We started at 5:40am from the Sierra Madre Trailhead. Reached the summit at 9:30am. About 4 hours up. Had a 15 minute lunch and then headed back down. Reached the bottom at 12:45pm. About 7 hours round trip. Trail is on good shape. There are a few spots on the toll road near the top where there is some rock slides over the road, but plenty of room to go around. Weather was perfect!!!! Started at about 50 degrees. Felt pretty good most of the way. Started feeling the incline a little after Orchard Camp. Knees were hurting about Orchard camp on the way back down. Overall a great hike!!!! 5 more peaks and then Mt. Whitney in August!!!!!
