The start of the hike was great weather. We saw some grey, rain clouds lingering throughout our hike up the summit. Once we got to the summit, more rain clouds rolled in, we could see rain pouring down at Big Bear Lake or somewhere in that vicinity. We had cupcakes, burritos and watermelon for our summit lunch… had to pack up quickly because it started to sprinkle. Two to three minutes afterwards, it just started hailing! It hailed for a good ten minutes, then it rained, then we heard thunder, rained a lot more and stopped once we were a good hour down the mountain. What a crazy, fun, scenic hike. Out of all the peaks, I would definitely hike this mountain again.
