Trailhead San Bernardino

The weather was perfect on this day for the hike. I knew there was another heat wave hitting Southern California over the weekend so I was afraid the day would be miserable. On the contrary, we hit cool weather for most of the way up the trail. There is a lot of shade along the trail in the morning and combined with clouds, it made for a very comfortable hike. Although long, this was probably one of the easiest hikes in the challenge. The switchbacks are long but minimize the feeling of elevation gain throughout the hike. Once you get to the flats, its a nice stroll through the trail. The last 3rd of the hike becomes a little more challenging but very doable. Overall, this has been my favorite hike thus far.
