Backpacked the steep mile+ to Vivian Creek Campsite late afternoon on Wed. to spend the night Got a 6 am start to day-hike to the summit on a beautiful day. Summited at 11:30 am and headed down. Refilled water at the creek at High Camp. Packed up our backpack at the campsite and headed down to be stopped in our tracks by a majestic mountain lion, who crossed the trail and watched us from a perch above. We headed down talking very loudly!
