Today was epic. Poseidon made his first summit of the year and got to play in snow as a reward. This hike may be my new favorite! It’s absolutely beautiful and with the trail potentially opening up all the way to Gorgonio in July I may wait to summit from this trail. Fairly secluded and the way people on YouTube or here have described it is accurate. It’s a must!
Plenty of snow up top, I’d say from about 9,000ft up the trail kinda disappears so you just need to go straight up. Have fun, if you’re planning to go soon I’d being ice ax and crampons, my Yak Traks helped but it was sketchy at times.
Totally awesome trail The mid-section is completely different. I’m planning to head up Sunday. I can’t believe there’s still show.
