Loved the hike. Challenging to be sure! Overall the trail was in good shape although we missed a switchback and traveled via a steeper section to reconnect to the actual trail. Watch for rocky turns in the trail! Also, the bugs were out on one section, mostly flies. Strangely, they were only in this one area. Most of the hike was bug free! Felt good to reach the top! Baldy beckons in a couple of weeks!
