I hiked/summited Mt. Wilson on February 26, 2017. Weather was perfect… Cool temperatures! I had not issue with bugs and didn’t use my bug net. Although this the first mountain to climb of the six it doesn’t mean is easy…. On the other hand it is steep and challenging. I visited the Sturtevant Falls, very nice area. Get very early to the parking lot as space is very limited. I parked my car down the road two miles away from the trailhead as I started my hike after 7am. Beautiful creek along the trail, lots of shaded areas, very beautiful trail.
