Trailhead Manker Flats

Weather report said it was going to be cold/cool. So for some reason as I getting ready to leave the car I figured I needed to make a choice between a fleece cap, or my broad brimmed ventilated hat. For the first half of the hike, going up via Devil’s Backbone I was glad for the cap. At the summit it was 46F with 3-7 mph winds. Over parts of the Backbone it was probably over 10 mph. On the way down via the Ski Hut trail it was sunny and warm, sheltered from any wind. I got a little sunburn on my nose. Wish I had taken both hats along.
