I am planning on hiking this route, any suggestions?

I would recommend hiking up via the Dry Lake trail. It’s longer, about 11.5 miles, but you can stop at Dry Lake about 4 miles in as it’s a beautiful spot. Further up the trail you’ll get to see the wreckage of the plan that crashed in 1952. Go back down via the Dollar Lake trail for a good 20+ mile loop
