    Hello there,

I’m new here and new to peakbagging really too.

Over the past 3 Saturdays, I’ve managed to get to the summits of Baden-Powell, Throop, Lewis and just this past Saturday ascended San Antonio (Baldy) via the Ski Hut Trail.

Being new at this and not in the best shape, Ski Hut really just about pushed me close to my limit. It was a very hard trail and quite a few people were surprised I was even on it and made it to the summit (though I was very determined to do so). When I finally hit that crowded summit, I was beat.

Anyhow, I’ve been eying Cucamonga Peak from Icehouse canyon and I see it’s another strenuous trail like Ski hut but the elevation gain seems more spread out and that extra 2 miles at a lower altitude and not climbing as fast may make quite the difference.

I’m curious if anyone who’s done both of these trails has any opinion on which is the more difficult to tackle. Don’t want to go running off on a trail 10 times harder than one that kicked my rear something fierce this weekend.

    Thanks!
