Hi, 4 friends, hike locally 2-3 hour hikes, not super professional hikers…but … want to experience John Muir trail, for 3 days max. 40 year olds. Yosimite area… What do you suggest?

Hi Tracy!

Permits are going to be your biggest challenge, but a perfect route would be from Yosemite Valley to Tuolumne:
- Day 1
- Day 2
- Day 3
I would include a trip up Half Dome (if you get a permit) or Clouds Rest — both great side-trips. And if time allows, hang out in the Valley for a day or two and be a tourist. 😉
