I have San Gorgonio and San Bernardino left to finish the Six Pack of Peaks. The weather looks decent for this week for San Gorgonio. I’d love some company for this long hike. I hike a slow and steady pace. Let me know if anyone can go!

Last week we were supposed to start hiking at 4am, but weren’t truly hiking until 4:45. I stayed overnight at halfway camp, so I can’t say what time I’d get back as a day hike. My guess is that it would be around 8pm. I normally hike solo and as a result, I always take my InReach Explorer. Anyway, you’re welcome to join me. I plan on getting started promptly at 4am this time. 🙂

Best,

September 12, 2017 at 8:43 pm #393778mml712001ParticipantThat sounds awesome! It sounds like lots of women will be on the mountain for sure! I will be camping up near there for a few days. If anyone else wants to camp, let me know. I’ll tell you where I am staying.
September 15, 2017 at 3:47 pm #394067R WParticipantAre you still going? I did Baldy yesterday for peak #5 but still need Gorgonio. Btw this will be my first time there.
If going:
– What trail – Vivian or South Fork?
– When to meet?
– Where exactly to meet?
– What time estimate done, assuming day hike?
– Lastly, how slow do you mean by slow? Slow and steady especially up is great for me right now! I am totally fine provided we ideally aren’t hiking too much in the dark at night ideally. Thanks!
September 15, 2017 at 10:54 pm #394154R WParticipantI did not hear back from anyone so I guess I will do Gorgonio another time. I think I need another rest day anyways after Baldy as tonight started feeling a tiny bit bad again after daughter brought home a start of school year cold last week. No worries and have a great hike!
September 18, 2017 at 11:37 pm #394460mml712001ParticipantR W I am sorry as I didn’t get your message since I had already left to go camping and had no Internet access. I went and ended up running into a group after hiking solo for a while. I did Vivian Creek and it was very strenuous. I started at 5am and ended at 4:30pm. It was cold and windy on the upper elevations so We didn’t take many breaks, except at the summit.
