Giveaway: Get Signed Copy of ‘I Hike’ by Lawton Grinter

May 4, 2013 By Jeff Hester 26 Comments

I love to hike. I love to swap tales from the trail with other hikers. Author Lawton “Disco” Grinter is a hiker with some great tales to tell. He’s completed the Triple Crown of long trails: the Appalachian Trail, the Continental Divide Trail, and the Pacific Crest Trail. In his book I Hike – Mostly True Stories from 10,000 Miles of Hiking, Grinter shares many of his memorable experiences on these and other great trails.

I Hike - Mostly True Stories from 10,000 Miles of HikingI read I Hike last month, and last weekend, caught up with Disco (his trail name) at the Pacific Crest Trail kick-off not far from the Mexican border. Disco graciously shared a signed copy of his book, and now you can win it!

The winner will be selected at random from all entries. How do you enter? Leaving a comment on the blog, following us on Twitter and Facebook, and tweeting about the contest are a few of the options, and some you can do more than once! The contest begins today and ends on May 19th at 12am Pacific time, and I’ll announce the winner two days later.

One lucky SoCal Hiker reader will soon add I Hike to their library. Good luck!

This is very cool! I can’t wait to hike the PCT with my kids. We’ve done parts of the AT. I love that they are excited about hiking at young ages.
