It is with an exceptionally heavy heart that the friends and family of Dean Diomedes announce he has climbed his last mountain. He passed away last weekend while hiking with a couple of friends at San Bernardino Peak.
Dean was an adventurer, an OCR racer, a jiu-jitsu student, a Boston sports fan, a devout Catholic, a teacher who positively influenced thousands of kids, a loving father of three and a husband. He completed the SoCal Hiker Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge in 2016 and was on his way to do it again this year. He was planning to finish the Cactus 2 Clouds hike this month and next season’s Team Endeavor Challenge.
Dean passed away while doing something he absolutely loved. His friends and family are going to miss this man’s gentle kindness and unassuming manner. We are thankful to have shared some of his adventures and life.
