Going solo was super for a bit but at one point I felt I was not alone! It hurried me along so I wouldn’t get eaten! I missed the cut back into the forest as warned and took bad advice on the fire road. After recognizing Eatin Canyon I decided I needed to run the downhill to make the Nature Center by 5 do I could Uber back to my car. As I ran I disturbed a rattler sunbathing on the warm path who went for me but was all stretched out so he could get me! Screamed and cursed myself and ran but up the hill a bit to regain my composure and wait out the rattler. Made the Nature Center before 5 and a volunteer took pity on me and drive me back to my car. Thank goodness I didn’t get eaten, bit, our stranded!
