I had room on my permit on this one, so I decided to share with some strong amazing women! The hike started off a little rocky – I was used by a group of girls who just wanted the permit and were not interested in the bonding of this hike. At least the rest of us did not have to endure their company during the length of this hike. The rest of us started in the dark, ready to conquer the day. I couldn’t be more proud of the teamwork and bonding of these women. One of the girls wasn’t doing well – wasn’t adapting to the altitude and was having a challenging time. The rest of the group distributed out the weight of her pack, stayed with her the whole time, watched over her, encouraged her throughout the hike, and celebrated her summit! It was an awesome experience to be a part of. We had her back – we got her to the summit and got her safely back down! She did an amazing job and kept positive the whole time. We started as a group, bonded over the adventure, and finished as a group.
