Trailhead Vivian Creek

The trail was in impeccable condition. The weather was pristine. I was fully prepared and ready… but for some reason I was really challenged. It was sheer determination and linear focus that drove me to summit and then descend. My knees and feet were really pissed off so I took it slow and steady there those last few miles. For the first time my fingers felt the altitude at the top, and I was really tired and foggy. It’s a great hike – but it’s a beast!
