Peak San Bernardino

Trailhead ANGELUS OAKS

This was one of the most beautiful and painful hikes. We decided to overnight it to Columbine Springs. By the time we made it 5 miles in to camp carrying our packs we were simply beat. We set up camp and hung out for a short while. At 5pm we headed to the peak. The sun was setting at 7:45 just before we reached the bench. That was an incredible sunset. We continued on and made it to the peak close to 9pm. It had got quite cold by this time so we did not waste time and headed back to camp. It was about 11:30pm by the time we finally made it back to Columbine Springs. That was a very nice area to camp with easy access to water. Left the following day to head back to the car and immediately went for beer and food
