This hike was the beginning of a crazy climbing weekend as I was trying to kill two birds with one stone completing the Six Pack Challenge and the Adventure 16 Three Peak Challenge… San Jacinto on Saturday, Mt Baldy on Sunday and San Gorgonio on Monday! Southern California was going through a heat wave and you could feel it all the way to the summit. All the snow we got this winter has now left nature green and lush with plenty of water flowing along the trail all the way to Round Valley Campground. The hut was a welcome rest with some shade after a very sunny and hot summit where the hikers were lining up for a chance of a snapshot with the sign.
