Started 5:55am and already there were a lot of people at the Parking lot.
The weather was quite warm for the early hours. Knew it wasn’t going to be an easy hike .
Was in the shades until reaching the ski school. Then it was all sun no shades . The push up to devils backbone was brutal!
And then the final ascent to the peak was a killer but the view was absolutely amazing. Still some patches of snow but none on the trail.
Reached the peak around 10am.
Quite a crowd at the peak!
The way down through ski hut was crowded with hikers. I didn’t know so many people hiked Baldy on the weekends!
Heading to Mt. Rainier next week !
