Peak San Gorgonio

Trailhead Vivian Creek

Labor Day weekend was especially warm, but at 5:30am, without any sun, the beginning of the hike was very pleasant. Compared to some of the other hikes before, this one seemed especially empty on the trail (could have been the weather or the route itself), and certainly seemed to go on forever. We reached the summit between 1-1:30pm, enjoyed our lunch, hung out with the chipmunks, and then started our downhill trek. While we made great time going down the mountain, it was very warm, and more in the sun than the morning half. The last two miles to the car seemed like they would never end, but we finally made it back by 6pm. So glad we got this hike out of the way, and can enjoy San Bernardino as our last hike of the pack! Woo Hoo!
