Peak Mt Wilson
Group N/A
Trailhead Chantry Flats

Right off the bat, getting down to the Gabrieleno Trail was amazing! Everything was so green and full of life! I had expected for there to be some water at Sturtevant Falls but not nearly as much as there was. People at the falls was so happy and excited to even get that far. And then the real hiking began. This is definitely a hike where the sooner you find your pace the better. For me and my brother it didn’t take long for us to get into our groove. We met some really nice people along the way and that turned into a small support group the closer we got to the peak. When we finally at the top we were beat, cold, wet (from all the sweat), and relieved. We made it to the top! But before we could even catch our breath a mountain unicycler rode right past us about to ride down the mountain. Yes you read that correctly, a unicycler! Confusion, amazement, and joy came to us immediately after that. We had just conquered Mount Wilson and yet we felt a tad bit unaccomplished because nothing we could do from that point on would be as awesome as the man that rode down the mountain on a unicycle.
