This hike was so different from Wilson. It was beautiful and extremely challenging. Especially towards the end. We started out early in the morning. It was pretty cold at first but it gradually warmed up throughout the day. As we got closer to Ice House Saddle, we began to see a lot of patches of snow. We realized that eventually we would have to hike through snow. We were not wrong. As we began our hike to the top, the snow had covered the trail. What made this possible for us were the micro spikes that we got the night before. We climbed and climbed until we finally reached the top. It was the most rewarding feeling. The views from the top were breathtaking. Yes, it was the most challenging hike yet, but also the most beautiful!
