Beautiful day, road up to Chantry Flats was littered with wind debris, down tree etc. Trail conditions were good loved the water diverters (?)
Trail up the last part was really tough, views great. Made it to the top and hauled it to the Cosmic café for a much needed lunch. Heading down is where things went slightly skewed, 2 in our group got out ahead of us, not sure how they made the turn to Winter creek trail but we never saw the turn, wound up going down the Mt. Wilson toll road to Henninger flats and Altadena. Ended up hiking to the Eaton canyon foot bridge, luckily our friends had the spare keys to the car, we were able to get a physical address to Eaton canyon area and that’s where our hike ended. Few things learned.
