Trailhead Momyer Creek Trailhead

Well, this old dawg was able to complete the 23.6 mile loop. The 7th summit on Mt San Gorgonio in 3 years & the 3rd this year.

Started from Momyer Creek Trailhead, walking about 1.6 miles through the community of Forest Falls to the Vivian Creek Trailhead.

The 13-mile descent from the summit to Momyer Creek was tough, especially during the vertical portions of the trail – legs & feet definitely had a good workout.

Though concerned at the summit of the possibility of getting hit with some rain activity, the cloud covering on the top exposed areas of the trail was welcoming.

“THIRST” plagued me on the descent due over sweating… wanted to jump in cold, refreshing water throughout. Fortunately, there were several good flowing water sources further down the trail from Dollar Saddle.

The photos are views on the way down.
