Peak San Bernardino
Group N/A
Trailhead Angelus Oaks

This was the first time hiking San Bernardino peak. Having grown up in Redlands (live in OC now), I would wake up everyday staring at this mountain. It was always in view and something I have always wanted to hike. As this was going to be the longest hike we had ever completed, we started the day early and met our group of friends at the Angelus Oaks trailhead (not sure if it is called something else). This trail was not too stertorous. I quiet enjoyed the subtle climb to the top. It was a really relaxing climb up; however, I felt like it was NEVER ENDING! We had read about the Washington Monument and kept wondering when we were going to see it. Man, I was so tired by the time we actually reached the monument. My aunt, who was hiking with us, almost turned around, but I convinced her (and probably myself) to continue. Boy, was I happy we continued. The views from this peak are incredible! I could see my parent’s house, at least area! Other than being extremely LONG, this was a very beautiful hike.
