Peak San Gorgonio
Group N/A
Trailhead Vivian Creek

This hike felt like all 5 previous hike combined. I felt the steady incline of Wilson, the crushed rocks of Cucamonga, narrow incline of Baldy, beautiful mountain landscape of San Bernardino, and the switch backs of Jacinto. This hike had a few false peaks which got our hopes up. It was also very cold at the top and started to rain and hail. We thought we weren’t going to make it because of the rain. Fortunately, it stopped at some point for us to complete the hike. We go lost at the very top with only about half a mile away. This took another 30 minutes to find. Doesn’t sound much but at that altitude and exhaustion, every step makes a difference. After the peak we hiked down a bit and had lunch around an area filled with giant boulders. It was very beautiful and peaceful. It is challenges like this that introduced me to more wonders out there other than the typical local ones I’m so familiar with. We got the the mountain right when the sunset and was greeted by one of the most beautiful sunset I’ve seen in a long time.
