It was a gorgeous day! Sky cleared early, but of course, the Gabrielino Trail and the Sturtevant Trail are completely under shade, so the hike was a breath of fresh air. After stopping at Sturtevant camp for a ride on the swing and to watch them juggle, we continued to the top. The 100 inch telescope was open, so we saw that. We had some lunch at the Cosmic Cafe, then continued down the Mt Wilson Trail to the lower Winter Creek trail, then up heart-attack hill for a 4:00 finish. Both kids were troopers. Matthew M did this one last year, but did not want to continue. Hopefully this year, with Matthew V’s encouragement, he will complete the six-pack.
