Snakes…I hate snakes

Peak Cucamonga Peak
Group Trailhead Hunters
Trailhead Icehouse Canyon

Had a great hike up to the peak. Started at 8:30, and were back to our cars by 4:30 having taken the cumberland trail down. That added about 2 miles to the hike and seemed to take forever. On the way up, we ran into a rattlesnake just off the trail about 2 miles in! We were practically right on top of him before we noticed. He must not have felt threatened tho, cause he just slithered off without any sign of alarm. The stream going up toward the saddle is a super pretty walk. Views at the top were pretty spectacular, as well as were the vacuumed sealed ice cold Coors I brought. 😉
