When I got my permit at the ranger station that morning, the ranger was telling us 70% chance of thunderstorms that day, and to turn around as soon as you hear thunder. Ugh… Fortunately, the weather held off, just foggy, cold and windy. The view from Palm Springs showed the peak was in cloud cover.
