Trailhead Marion Mountain

Started early (5:20am) at the Marion Mountain trail, following the relentless path to the friendlier grade of the PCT. Most of the trail was shaded and well marked. There was still water flowing near the Fuller Ridge junction.
Not a lot of hikers were up early on a Saturday, but I did see my fellow hiker Teresa, who had to come down due to illness, and Andrew with his WTC group on the way down.
It was such a relief to see the hut and then the summit! But for some haze over the South Bay, it was a clear, beautiful day with San Gorgonio to the north, the windmills and desert floor to the east, and the Los Angeles basin out west.
I took it very slow on the way back, for a total of 11 hours. What a beast of a hike!
