Trailhead Marion Mt. Trailhead

This is my second time doing San Jacinto Peak, and my second Peak for the Six Pack of Peaks challenge. It was a two hour drive to the trailhead from my house. We started from the Marion Mt. Trail-head which started off pretty steep right off the bat. From the weather report it seemed like it was going to be really cold, but it was not bad. I was good with a hoodie over my shirt, and pants. The trail started off pretty clear. About 3 or 4 miles in we started running into patches of snow on the trail which made it hard in some spots to follow the trail. Past the little round valley the snow got a bit heavier, and we ended up getting off the trail a few times, only finding our way back by looking for other hikers. The snow was a nice sight and the water in the rivers was flowing really nice as well, but it did make the hike a bit harder. The same was true on the way back down. We had a hard time staying on the trail until we reached the little round valley camp grounds, from there it was pretty easy even with the few patches of snow still on the trail. It was a fun intense hike, I was pretty tired at the end of the hike. We started the hike at around 8:15am and ended at 5:30pm.
