Loved this hike for its breath taking beauty. Most of the hike was peaceful, except for a group of women keeping pace with me who lacked trail ettiquette. Nonetheless, I enjoyed my trip up and was pleasantly surprised to see that I didn’t struggle. Initially, I had some shortness of breath, but once my asthma medicine kicked in I was fine for the rest of the way up. I actually summited San Jacinto the weekend before, but I took the Deer Springs trail. This week it didn’t hail on me, so that was a plus.
