This hike still remains one of my favorites. I decided to fit this one in while my sister was in town so she could enjoy all of the different views of both forest and desert. The weather was pretty warm in the 70s-80s pending what part of the mountain you were at. Not much of a breeze so anytime the clouds blocked the sun we were thankful! Despite a couple of toasty sections the views made up for it and we had a great time! I took my weighted pack as a part of my Mt. Whitney training and kept a pretty solid pace. All in all a wonderful day!
