The hike was strenuous, especially the first 1-2 miles up steep, switchbacks. Doing an overnight backpack made the experience more enjoyable. We summit ted the first day at sunset for spectacular scenery. We hiked back to High Creek camp in the dark with our headlamps, reaching camp at 10pm.
