My mother was horrifically burned in a car accident when I was 12 she lost her legs and fingers and was extremely disfigured! Her strength and determination to push through pain is with me now even though we lost her in 2015! Last night I dreamt that she was in the streets in her wheelchair cheering for my finish of the #6packofpeaks and for that brief moment I had my mommy! The phoenix rising from the ashes anew is a tribute to my mother tattoo!
