Bugs were a big issue at mile two and last three miles on my way down. This is a very long hike, be patient to finally climb the peak. Constant incline with beautiful views. Space is very limited at parking lot, but if you get early, you would be able to leave your car there. Not busy trail although I hiked on a Saturday. I observed a nice sunset on my way back.
