Trailhead San Bernardino Peak Trail

Since permits were limited this day, we teamed up with another group of ladies to share the permit and hike the peak. They were great company and we still keep in touch to encourage each other through the remaining peak trails of the challenge. =) The weather was in the 80s but had some nice breeze along the way. The sky was clear and the views were gorgeous. We saw a buck resting under a tree from afar. After hiking Mt. Wilson and Mt. Baldy, this trail did not feel as difficult and I kept good pace as the trail was a gradual incline. However, as we neared the top, we encountered false peaks that we were not expecting. We were already so tired and exhausted that we did not know if we were ever going to make it. Fortunately, we did and the view was amazing and the rest was much needed. The trail back down felt like it was never ending but we were so happy when we finally got to our car.
