This was a favorite of mine, due to the rolling hills and the gorgeous scenery! I loved that once again we were the only ones st the top due to a super early start time. We did encounter s ranger on our way down, and he asked to see our permit. He was very informative and told us there is a ton more traffic now due to this challenge. His name: Ranger Mike. We had gorgeous weather. The big started going after us at the bottom of our descent, enough that I wore my super attractive netting! 😆 This hike was a lot easier than San J, because it was not so steep in the descent!
