This was a special trail. San Bernadino Peak was my first and only peak I challenged solo. It was something I will do again solo. A hawk has been with me on every hike the past few months. I was overjoyed with emotion when a hawk found its way to me and sat above me. It was also delightful to see so many women on the trail either solo hiking or with female groups. The day was crisp. I was lucky enough to find a day where the clouds were beautiful puffs and the breeze blew cold whenever my temperature rose. The plant life was vibrant. Nature really outdid herself on this day.
