Peak San Bernardino
Group I hiked with a group of my hiking friends, we call ourselves the Happy Hikers
Trailhead Angelus Oaks

For our final hike, we had San Bernardino Peak left. It’s my favorite of the Six Pack of Peaks because it’s beautiful and not many people know about this trail. I always tell people the peaks should be renamed the 4 Saints because San Bernardino is named after Saint Bernardino, an Italian man who revived the Catholic faith in Italy with his sermons. Like Saint Bernardino, I wanted to be revived too after 6 months of hiking these peaks, which are all tough in their own way (some more than others). Since we had to drive out to Redlands, we started early before 6 am. We got to watch a gorgeous sunrise and hike a gradual 8.5 miles up to the peak through green forests and bushes. I love the stone bench when you get towards the top. It has great views, but the clouds were starting to come in at the top. So, I met my friends at the top and we took our final picture on the peak holding the nice sign made for this peak and signed the notepads in the metal box. There were more people than I normally see on this peak, but I still love the views and the colors on this hike. As we came down, the clouds started to darken and then rain started to come down. Luckily, we got down to the cards before it got too rainy. The rain was welcomed to help revive and refresh us as we finished our last peak. Six peaks in six months! See you at the party!
