This past Saturday Summit was spectacular. We had a leisurely hike Mt. Baldy Road to Devil’s Backbone and then up the Devil’s Backbone to the summit. We had a 6:36am departure time from the trailhead and made it up to the summit at 10:03am. There were plenty of people up there already but we still got some good action shots and enjoyed a nice lunch. We came back down the Ski Hut Trail which was a terrible mistake. Too steep, I would recommend it for the ascent and then descent down the Mt. Baldy Road. Either way, we summited and I am counting two birds with one stone – Six Pack of Peaks, peak 4 and Adventure 16’s 3-Peak Challenge, peak 1. Beautiful weather.
