Peak Mt Wilson
Group Self
Trailhead Chantry Flats

One year ago I was barely able to get up and down Mt. Wilson trying the six pack of Peak challenge for the first time. I remember regretting ever even trying. Well a year has gone by and having successfully finishing the challenge last year, sheading more than 10 pounds I couldn’t believe how much different it felt climbing Mt. Wilson this time around.

I started at 6:40 am and reached the summit at 10:40 am. The climb up was very pleasant especially after the rain and snow it felt so moist and especially with the cloud and fog cover the it made the hike so much better.

Thanks to the group who had the hot chocolate and coffee out at the Cosmic Cafe. The cafe won’t be opened till 4/1. After so much rain it was strange that a sign says the water and bathrooms will be shut until the water levels increase.

The abundant flow in the streams and falling waterfall roars was awesome to see and hear during the hike. Really made you feel hopeful that the long California drought was coming to an end.

Looking forward to the remaining 5 peaks and experiencing how my New and improved body will take them on.
