This was a crazy hike as we knew that rain was likely but certainly did not expect the rain, cold and wind that we experienced! For most of the hike it wasn’t too much of a problem as we were prepared for rain and the trees provided lots of protection, but the top was extremely cold and windy with sideways rain and fog which made it very difficult to find the trial down. Very thankful that I had extra clothes to change into and my friend brought extra gloves. Also very thankful for the hot chocolate at the cafe! All around took longer than expected but we managed. Very glad I took seriously the “ten essentials” because I used a lot more than I expected.
