Peak Mt Wilson

Trailhead Chantry Flats

The weather was beautiful. We started our hike at 7am. When we arrived I was surprised to see so many cars that early in the morning and then we realized most of the people were only making the trek to the falls. Our hike took us just under 8 hours. I am mostly sore in my calves and the arches of my feet from wearing my trail shoes as opposed to my hiking boots. All in all I cannot complain there were beautiful views and friendly hikers throughout our trek. I’m excited to move on to the next peak in our challenge!

  1. Well done, Lisa & friends!

Long hikes like this do can do a number on your feet. You’ll learn from experience what works best for you, but for me, my dogs are always pretty beat at the end of one these hikes.
